Service Description
Make a “Bell Beaker” in the style of the Bronze Age Beaker People. Archeological evidence shows that about 4000 years ago, Bronze Age Bell Beaker people lived in this area. Date: Monday 17th February Time:10-11.15pm Price: £28 Duration: 1 hour 15mins Location: The Spotty Dog Place, 5 Barton Street, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, GL20 5PP Skill level: Suitable for beginners and those with a little experience aged 10 and over including adults All materials and tools supplied. We will supply an apron but would suggest wearing clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting clay on (The clay doesn’t stain and fully washable). Further Information Are you a fan of The Great Pottery Throw Down? We are delighted to have 2024 finalist, Dave Short running a Bell Beaker workshop In this workshop you will: Handle a reproduction bell beaker and learn a little about the lives of the Bell Beaker people. Use pinching and coiling to make a Bell Beaker. Have your beaker treated with iron oxide then fired. You will be informed when it is ready for collection from the Spotty Dog Place, Tewkesbury. This is approximately 2-4 weeks later. Tea, coffee and squash and biscuits are available during the workshop. Please notify the tutor of any allergies. Terms & Conditions When booking a workshop run by Rachel Elizabeth , the following terms & conditions form the agreement between us (The Spotty Dog Place) and you (Participant) ● Workshops will require at least 3 participants to run, if the workshop has to be cancelled for this reason a full refund will be given. ● A workshop booking is not deemed confirmed until full payment is received. ● Payment is required in full at the point of booking and a space on the workshop will be confirmed by the email address you provided at the point of booking. ● Once a booking is confirmed by email it can only be cancelled if at least 15 days' notice is given by the participant whereupon, Rachel Elizabeth may offer to: Resell the place by approaching those on a reserve list if there is one. In that event, a full refund will be given. Transfer your booking to another workshop run by Rachel Elizabeth Should the alternative workshop be at a differing price, the difference will be rechargeable or refunded. Issue a credit note for another workshop run by Rachel Elizabeth ● If Rachel Elizabeth should cancel a workshop for any reason, she will contact you as soon as possible and an alternative date for the same workshop will be offered. If this cannot be fulfilled a full refund will be given.
